Frequently asked questions
Can strangers ever see my child's profile?+
No. Children are never publicly searchable. A parent only sees another family's child after both parents have exchanged and accepted an invitation.
How do I connect with another parent?+
Send them an invite by mobile number or email from inside the app. They accept it, create their own account and child profile, and you're both connected.
What happens when I create an event?+
Everyone in the circle you choose is invited automatically, and you get a live dashboard of who's accepted, maybe, or declined.
What if the parent I invite doesn't have PlayTribes yet?+
They'll get an email with a secure invite link. They create an account, add their child, and the connection completes automatically — no separate approval step needed.
Who can see my child's allergies and medical notes?+
Only you by default. If you host a playdate, that information becomes visible to the parents you've invited to that specific event, so they know what to prepare for — never anyone outside your trusted circle.
Can I remove a connection or leave a circle?+
Yes, from the Connections and Circles pages at any time. Removing a connection doesn't delete past events, but it stops that parent from seeing any new activity from you.
Can I add more than one child?+
Yes, there's no limit. Each child gets their own profile, circles, and friend network.
Can I delete my account and data?+
Yes — email us and we'll delete your account and all associated data. A self-service delete option is on our roadmap.
Is PlayTribes free?+
Yes, PlayTribes is free to use during early access. See our pricing section above for what happens after that.
Is there a mobile app?+
Not yet — PlayTribes works great in your phone's browser today, and native iOS and Android apps are coming soon.
